Returns & Warranty

How refunds, returns, and warranty coverage work for parts and services purchased from Marr Automotive Solutions.

The basics

Returns & warranty at a glance

General terms below — exact windows and coverage are also listed on each individual product page, and take precedence if they differ.

Returns Window

Parts carry a 30-day return window from the delivery date, and we cover return shipping on standard returns — you're not on the hook for that cost. Programming and repair services are final sale once work has started, since they can't be resold.

  • 30 days from delivery on parts, standard
  • Return shipping covered by us
  • Services are non-returnable once work begins

Warranty Coverage

Coverage depends on what you bought. Parts purchased through our catalog can add extended warranty coverage; shipped parts and remote programming are covered too, just on shorter terms.

  • 1, 2, or 3 year extended warranty options on parts
  • 30 days on remote programming work
  • Defective parts replaced or refunded

Exceptions

A few situations fall outside our standard return terms — mostly around parts that are programmed to your specific vehicle or that have already been installed. We still accept these returns; since the part has to be reprogrammed again before it can be resold, a 20% restocking fee applies.

  • VIN-programmed or installed parts — accepted, 20% restocking fee applies
  • Damage from improper installation isn't covered
  • Some listings set their own window — check the product page
Process

How to start a return or warranty claim

1. Contact us

Reach out with your order details and what's going on — defective part, wrong fitment, or a warranty concern on completed work.

2. Send it back or bring it in

We'll confirm eligibility and send a prepaid return label for shipped items, or schedule a time to look at in-shop work.

3. Refund, repair, or replacement

Once received and inspected, we'll issue a refund, send a replacement, or make it right under warranty — typically within a few business days.

Questions

Returns & warranty FAQ

Can I return a part after it's been installed or VIN-programmed?
Yes — VIN-programmed parts like ignition switches and immobilizers are matched to your specific vehicle once programmed, so a 20% restocking fee applies since the part has to be reprogrammed again before it can be resold. If a part is defective on arrival, contact us before installing it so we can sort it out under warranty instead — no restocking fee in that case.
Who pays for return shipping?
We cover return shipping on standard returns within the window. If a listing has different terms, they're noted on that product's page.
What if my part or module arrives defective?
Contact us right away with photos or a description of the issue. Defective items are replaced or refunded and don't count against the standard return window.
Can I get an extended warranty on parts I order online?
Yes — most parts in our catalog offer optional 1, 2, or 3 year extended warranty coverage, selectable when you add the part to your cart. Programming and repair services carry their own warranty terms, listed on each product page.
How do I start a return or file a warranty claim?
Call, email, or use the contact form with your order details. We'll walk you through the next steps, whether that's a return label or scheduling a look at completed work.
